Today's meeting was filled with Joy and Celebration. After Sunday's very successful third annual Medical Camp, the club, the global guests, visiting Rotarians and friends of Rotary all had a lot to be thankful for. After enjoy some global fellowship, and a delicious breakfast, President Nadine had a busy line up. Our guest speakerUte Barschdorf from Join Hands Tanzania, she was extremely inspirational. She explained that Join Hands aimed at providing care for adults and children that were affected by osteo genesis imperfecta (commonly known as brittle bones), as well as children suffering from NOMA. The aim of the organization was to improve knowledge in order to detect symptoms earlier and provide proper medication and improve the quality of life of the children suffering and in severe pain. Future goals include starting a boarding school suffering from the social exclusion of society. All in all Ute was truly fascinating and touched our hearts. After the speaker, we inducted our newest member, Elizabeth Corbishley into our club. We exchanged flags with our lovely guest, and supporters of the Rotary Medical Camp, The Rotarians from clubs in Seattle. The true spirit of global fellowship. See picture below. Image
