On Friday August 23rd, 2013, we had the honour to have the District Governor Emmanuel Katongole, our very own President Nadine organised a fun joint fellowship meeting between all the clubs in Dar es Salaam. It was a beautiful setting at the Sea Cliff Hotel, with lots of inspirational and motivational speeches, laughter, a delicious meal and delectable desserts.

The District Governor spoke eloquently about the power of growth  and the need to inspire individuals that we later call Rotarians. He stressed the  importance of inspiring the 70 percent of our young population through establishing and supporting Interact and Rotaract clubs. He stressed to increase membership: "Bring friends and co workers, I challenge you to grow Rotary."

The DG invited and encouraged the Rotarians attend the African Youth Conference in Uganda from the 3rd of November to the 6th, with the Guest of Honour being the Honourable RI president. There were cakes and candles to celebrate Rtn Aida's birthday. As well, the DG inducted our newest member Rotarian Helen. A Paul Harris Fellow from our club was awarded Rotarian Grant Pierce.

All in all it was joyous day for Rotary Clubs in Dar, and especially for the Joysterbains: it was our pleasure to host such a function.
