🌟 Empowering Tanzania’s Youth: From Opportunity to Transformation 🌟
At the Rotary Club of DSM Oysterbay, we believe that investing in young people is one of the most powerful ways to create lasting change.
We were honored to host Father Augustine, Rector of the Don Bosco Vocational Training Centre, during our fellowship meeting. He shared the inspiring journey of the Centre and the transformative impact vocational education continues to have on the lives of young Tanzanians.
Don Bosco Vocational Training Centre equips youth with practical, career-focused skills in areas such as carpentry and joinery, computer applications, electrical installations, motor vehicle mechanics, masonry, solar energy, welding and fabrication, secretarial studies, and many more. These programs prepare young people for meaningful employment and entrepreneurship opportunities.
In 2025, the Centre is serving 629 students—412 male and 217 female—each pursuing a pathway toward a brighter future.
As Father Augustine reminded us:
“Behind each number is a young person with a dream, a family depending on them, and a future that can still be shaped.”
We are proud to support initiatives that empower youth, strengthen communities, and create opportunities for sustainable growth. Together, we can help transform potential into purpose and dreams into reality.
