The true spirit of New Generations
Our meeting this morning was revitalizing! On September 10th, 2013, in honour of the Rotary New Generations month, we had a meeting of fun, friendship, fellowship and new beginnings.
Dorothy, future Treasurer of the Rotaract Club, Alpha, outlining their fundraising strategies, seated is Doris, future President of the nascent club.
Our guest speakers were representatives of the new Rotaract club we plan on sponsoring. The Rotarians of Oysterbay club, got the opportunity to hear from Doris & Dorothy (Future President & Treasurer) of this "young professionals club" who describe themselves as:
The Rotaract club of Alpha; a vibrant compilation of 21 strong members.
This will be a community based club, sponsored by RCOB. Today was momentous, they shared their future plans, projects, and aspirations for growth.
This is the future of Rotary and we feel very proud to be part of the movement. Charter documents have been signed by our President we are awaiting the signature of the DG. Keep checking the website for updates and the upcoming charter date :)
