The Rotary Club of Dar es Salaam Oyster Bay (RCOB) has been dedicated to supporting deserving Tanzanian youth in achieving their dreams through higher education and vocational training for many years through its scholarship program. Explore our scholarship opportunities and find the right fit for you.

University Scholarships
Our University Scholarships aim to provide financial support to students pursuing higher education at accredited universities. We are committed to fostering academic excellence and creating opportunities for future leaders.
  • New Applicants for the RCOB scholarship
    • Are you a new applicant looking to apply for our University Scholarship? Click here to apply
    • Application Period: August 15th to October 31st, 2024
    • How to Apply:
      1. Complete the application following the provided link. Applications sent by email will not be considered.
      2. Upload all required documentation through the provided link. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
    • Eligibility Criteria:
      • Tanzanian citizen
      • Studying and/or accepted in a tertiary institution for a diploma or bachelor's degree program in Tanzania (no scholarships for Master's degree programs)
      • Proof of good academic standing
      • Must demonstrate a critical need for a scholarship from Rotary Club of Dar es Salaam Oyster Bay
    • Required Documents:
      1. Acceptance Letter from College/University: Scanned copy of the acceptance letter from the institution where you are studying your diploma/degree.
      2. Motivation Letter: A typed motivation letter (less than 1,000 words) explaining why you are the best applicant for a Rotary scholarship. Include your personal or family background, educational or leadership achievements.
      3. Complete all sections in the application link. Failure to provide information may affect the application.
      4. Results Transcripts: Transcripts of your past performance at university (if applicable) and/or secondary school transcripts.
      5. Student Loan Status: Confirmation that you are currently NOT receiving a government loan for education. If you receive a partial loan for your education, provide support documentation on the amount contributed.
  • Former Recipient of the RCOB Scholarship
    • Have you received our scholarship before and want to renew your application? Click here to renew your scholarship
    • Renewal Criteria:
      • Maintain good academic standing
      • Submit progress reports
      • Participate in mentorship and community service activities
    • Required Documents:
      1. Progress Report: A report on your academic progress and any community service or internship experiences.
      2. Letter of Recommendation: A letter from an academic mentor.
