Rotarians and the Kerege community came out in force yesterday to join hands and treat more than 500 people at the Medical Camp.  The Medical Camp, the third to take place at Kerege Primary School, took place yesterday, 15 September, 2013, and was organised by the Rotary Club of Dar es Salaam Oysterbay.

An impressive number of Interactors and Rotaracters, Mzizima and HKU clubs respectively, came out lending a hand from hospitality, pharmacy duty to blood pressure testing.

For the first time there was a cervical cancer screening clinic and the ophthalmology clinic treated hundreds of people as well, among whom 6 patients had procedures done that saved their eyesight.

The Medical Camp  was organised in partnership with the Shree Hindu Mandal Hospital and Diamond Trust Bank and supported by Kidz Care Tanzania, Sanitas Medical Centre, Sight Savers, Tanzania Health Promotions Support, The Tanzania Diabetes Association, ICAP, Sayona, Trinity Promotions Ltd., Vesper Security, Knight Support, Aga Khan Hospital, Aga Khan University, Jamana Printers, AMREF, Supplies Stores & Jai Ambe Balvi Padmavati, and ELIMIKA.

Additionally, the “Seattle4 Rotary Club”, from Seattle, Washington, USA, who significantly contributed to the project's Malaria screening and equipment requirements will be in attendance.
